Welcome to The Texas Pool in Plano, TTX

The Texas Pool is a nonprofit, membership supported, community swim club shaped like the great State of Texas. Membership is open to the general public. You are not required to live in the neighborhood or even in Texas to join. The Texas Pool is maintained and managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Texas Pool Foundation is a 501c3 registered charity. Established in 1961, the Texas Pool has been providing legendary fun and fitness for generation after generation.  Sign aboard for a saltwater summer vacation you'll always remember.

The Texas Pool is now accepting applications for lifeguards and Jr. Lifeguards for the 2015 summer season.

  • It's here: The TEXAS POOL's LITTLE FREE LIBRARY
  • The Texas Pool has been the fortunate recipient of a Little Free Library kit donated by the Richardson Friends of the Library. Look for the Texas Pool Little Free Library soon in the entryway to the facility, outside the front gates. Take a book. Read a book, Leave a book. Help promote public literacy at the Texas Pool this summer!. 

Homeschool Days begin

From June 12 on, every other Friday is Homeschool Day at the Texas Pool throughout the Summer
Homeschool families, be our guest from 11-8 PM, $4/Person or $20/Family
Other Homeschool Swim Days are June 26, July 10, July 24, August 7 and August 21.

Independence Day Celebration, Saturday, July 4th, 12 pM-6 pM, Happy Birthday America!

  • The community is invited to be our guest to celebrate freedom with a party at the pool 
  • Members get in free, $5/person for nonmembers. Veterans and active military (with ID) get in free. 
  • Enjoy traditional water games and a cannon ball contest. 
  • The snack bar will be open and the Texas Pool Grill Masters will be firing up the grills for hot dogs. 
  • Arrive early. Bring your camp and beach chairs, umbrellas, shade canopies and coolers with nonalcoholic beverages. 


Members Only: Adults  (21 & Up) After Hours BYOB swim, July 11 from 8:30-10:30 PM

FAMILY HOT DOG NIGHT, 6 PM-8 PM (DATES TBA)

  1. Texas Pool Grill Masters will fire up the grills and cook your dog just the way you like it. Feed the family and enjoy the fun and fitness of an evening outing at the Texas Pool. The snack bar will be open for purchasing drinks, sides and chips.

movie night is back! 

Saturday July 18th & August 15th from 8:30-11 PM. Movie Titles TBA. $3/Members and $5/Guests (No guest cards)

This is an after hours special Texas Pool Foundation fundraising event.The Snack Bar will be open. Bring a float and the family to enjoy the Texas Pool Movie Night show. 

Monday, september 7: Labor Day - End of Summer Party

The community is welcome to be our guest.  Members are free, $5 for non-members. Come swim and join in the cannonball contest and water games!
Lifeguards are always on duty to keep you safe. You can bring in food and non-alcoholic drinks or purchase snacks and drinks on site.
The grills will be fired up so you can cook your own food. You are welcome to bring in your own lawn chairs, space fills up quickly.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6: NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AT THE TEXAS POOL FROM 6 PM-8 PM

The community is invited to be our guest, swim free, and enjoy the bounce house. Meet City of Plano firefighters and tour a big fire truck. Officers from the Plano Police Department will stop by for a visit. Greet civic leaders. Get to know your new Texas Pool Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 summer season. The grills will be fired up for hot dogs. Chips and drinks will be available at the snack bar. Hope to see you there!
