Tankproof tours the nation and makes a special stop at the historic Texas Pool!

Join award-winning nonprofit Tankproof on their national swim safety tour as certified swim instructors make a scheduled stop in Plano, Texas during The Texas Pool’s Annual Swimming Safety Week starting Monday, June 13, 2022 through Friday, June 17, 2022 with morning swim lessons for the community! The event takes place outdoors at The Historic Texas Pool located at 901 Springbrook Dr Plano, TX 75075.

All swim lessons are FREE and open to the public. The swim classes are designed for under-resourced students ages 5–18 years old. The daily lessons start on Monday, June 13, 2022 and the final class will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 which includes a special ceremony for all the swimmers!

Swim classes are one-hour sessions focusing on safe swimming, floating techniques, water safety, and a special power-pep talk daily to help swimmers build character, confidence and practice their new abilities! Swimming class sessions are held from 8:00-9:00 am, 9:00-10:00 am, and 10:00-11:00 am CDT. During Texas Pool’s Swimming Safety Week, students will receive healthy lunches & snacks sponsored by H-E-B and Central Market, in addition to giveaway goody bags from local businesses for each participant that completes the week-long safety swimming session.
