Swim free when you volunteer as the Texas Pool’s AED Coordinator

The Texas Pool is looking for a responsible and dedicated new volunteer AED/Water Safety Coordinator. The position is a Chair Position in our 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which should ideally be filled by a medical doctor.

The Texas Pool’s AED program is registered with the Plano Fire Department. The AED Coordinator ensures that the pool’s equipment is up to date and functional, maintains the first aid log book, reviews and updates the AED program protocol as needed, helps with related in-services for the lifeguard and board teams and represent the Texas Pool with the Children’s Health water safety coalition.

The estimated hourly commitment is about 5 hours a month. The AED Coordinator is expected to attend monthly board meetings (usually Saturday mornings). With their service, the AED Coordinator receives one complimentary family membership to the pool and one free party for up to 100 people.

Qualifications preferred:

  • Experienced medical professional
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Outgoing, positive attitude
  • Ability to work closely with a diverse Board Team
